How to add it
- Any HTML site: paste the code where you want the box to appear.
- WordPress: add a Custom HTML block (or a Custom HTML widget in the sidebar) and paste the code.
- Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, GoDaddy: use the Embed code / Custom code block. If your builder removes scripts, choose iframe above.
Options live in the data- attributes, so you can tweak them later without coming back here: data-type (price or melt), data-metals, data-karats, data-currency, data-unit (g or dwt), data-theme, data-lang, data-shop and data-pay.
What it shows
Gold and silver spot per troy ounce, then the melt value (metal content at spot) per gram or per pennyweight for each karat you pick, fine silver and sterling, and platinum if you turn it on. A timestamp shows when the price was updated. The melt calculator turns a weight and purity into a dollar value, and into your offer if you set a "we pay" percentage.
Fast, private and safe
The script is about 5 KB gzipped and draws inside a Shadow DOM, so it won't fight with your theme. It sets no cookies and we don't store anything about your visitors. All it sends us is one anonymous "loaded on yoursite.com" count per page view, which we add up per day (standard Google Cloud request logs apply, as with any website). Prices come from a cached, read-only feed, so a busy page costs you nothing.

Frequently asked questions
Is the widget really free?
Yes. It's free forever, with no signup, no account and no API key. The only thing we ask is that you keep the small "Powered by Nu Stack" link.
Where do the prices come from and how often do they update?
The same live spot feed the Nu Stack app uses. The widget loads fresh prices each time the page opens (served from a 5-minute cache) and refreshes every 10 minutes while the page stays open.
Will it slow down my site or clash with my theme?
No. The script is about 5 KB gzipped, loads asynchronously and draws inside a Shadow DOM, so your site's CSS can't break it and its CSS can't touch your site.
Does it track my visitors or set cookies?
No cookies, no fingerprinting, and we don't store any visitor data. We count how many times the widget loads per website per day (just the site's host name), so we know where it's used. Standard Google Cloud request logs apply, as with any website.
Can I show what my shop pays?
Yes. Set "We pay % of melt" and the widget adds a column with your price per gram and a line such as "We pay 80% of melt value". Leave it blank to show melt value only.
My website builder strips script tags. What do I do?
Choose the iframe embed. It works anywhere you can paste HTML, including builders that block scripts.
